Do you really think that you have lived a life (or even more lives) before?”
Me: “What I think may be or may be not of consequence – the more important is: what is the real question behind your question? Why do you want to know this…?”
Richard: “Hmmmm. That’s difficult to answer. Probably I’ve listened to my ego which tells me to live for ever in order to defeat the fear of death. Or it’s just for curiosity?!? I don’t know, yet. What do you think?”
While in Romania, talking on Skype, I gave him an indirect answer asking him to watch Audrey Rose, a great film, worthwhile for those interested in reincarnation.
Today he wrote on his blog:
“I wonder why Julien doesn’t comment or proceed on my invitation in my posting “Discussion with Julien about former lives”. I wonder what reasons there are which prevent him from doing.
In fact, it’s my ego which requires some input information in order to empower my self-consciousness.”
My answer:
The ego is never there to empower. Its role is to sabotage and disempower.
I did give you a clue with Audrey Rose, but you said that you don´t watch “horror movies”.
What if the information you need to start this dialogue with me, IS THERE FOR YOU IN THIS MOVIE, but due to your fear labeling it “horror movie”-, you stay out of touch with what you need to know.
Again, your ego sabotages you making you belive that Audrey Rose is a horror movie. The point is, WE NEVER KNOW where or how the information comes to us – in what package it is wrapped:
It can be a “horror movie, a whisper, a perfume, a glance from a bypasser, a word of no particular consequence, a book…
How can we ever continue the dialogue when Fear is interposing, not caring consider what has already been given…?

I forgot to tell You: I did watch this movie. It wasn’t a horror movie, in fact. It didn’t touch me much. It’s only fiction …. for me. A phantasy invention. Your interpretation seems to be quite different. Tell me about it …… if You like.

You see Richard, in a way you want to find out…on the other way, your ego – NO OFFENSE NOW – somehow doesn´t allow that, and hampers you to perceive things clearly.
WITH OTHER WORDS: even if I told you “new things”, would your ego want to hear, or dismiss them as a “phantasy invention”.
It is not about me interpreting, or not, it is about HEARING THE MESSAGE OR NOT.
In the film, this stranger, WAS THE ONLY ONE!!! WHO COULD HELP THE LITTLE GIRL WHEN SHE HAD THOSE TERRIBLE NIGHTMARES, while no one else could, not her mother, father, or any dr.
The mother recongnized that fact, and told this to her reluctant husband. The rational husband refused to see facts in this way. One can understand, it was too overwhelming.
At some point “the stranger” says to the girls´ mother, when she found his words totally far fetched:
“Who is speaking now, YOU OR YOUR FEAR?” The same question applies to us:
Who is understanding?… our real self, or our fear…?
Hmmm. Hard stuff. Somehow I can’t divide my ego from my analytical thoughts. This is extremely crazy. I don’t feel any fear with this topic. I just don’t recognize any hints which show me that it isn’t only fiction. Nor did I ever have any experiences on that. All I had were Déjà vus which were scaring me a little bit when I was a kid. When I realized that déjà vus are quite common and explainable I didn’t care about it any more.
So what facts or hints can You tell which make You believe about your own reincarnation?
Of course I can tell you and I WILL write about own experiences about this overwhelming topic.
Just reflect on what I say, stay with your reactions, and again the question is not WHAT I BELIEVE – more important is for you to watch your reactions and try to figure it out WHY you have the urge to find out.
Like everything else, the question is – do we speak from inside the topic or from the outside?
If we speak from the outside, we do nothing but feeding the ego, which will for sure interprete, through choosing, distorting and dismissing things in order to create another pointless story to entertain itself. There is of course no purpose in that, is it?
It is not that reincarnation may be or may be not a fiction, the problem is that EGO IS FICTION.
Now, if there is a real deeper thirst, if to find out about past lives corresponds to an urgent need in order to get a clearer picture of your present context, yes, depending on your readiness, life will give you for sure certain information.
This was my case. The information came to me.
