Everyone builds a false dependency to others, -”see me, see me…” and yet play
independent, consequently, impossible to reach.

This conceit, oh, this fastidious self-importance, which is nothing but sheer
inner emptiness.

But after a meaningful conversation with a fellow-blogger, which was perfectly in line
with this simple, yet highly uncommon episode, I thought I might share it with you.

Two days ago in the afternoon, I was in the subway going downtown.

Despite the rush hour and stress around me, I felt centered, aligned with myself. I was watching people´s faces, writing.

At some point, a couple came and sat down next to me. They were arabs. The father holding the older daughter right in front of me, and the mother at my right with the other baby girl. 

At some point, the little girl reached out to me, cooing, eager for contact. I waved back to her, and got back to my writing.

She didn´t give in.

She touched me again, stretching out her little, fragile forefinger seeking mine, fixing me with her eyes, almost solemnly commanding: “Listen to me, I must convey you an important message!”, at which point SHE SAID SOMETHING!

In that second both parents look astounded, bursting into a healthy laughter!

 - You know, said the father cheerfully, she is one year old and IT´S THE VERY FIRST TIME SHE TALKS. And obviously, she choose you to be her first conversation partner…

I was totally taken aback by the whole thing – I realized at once there was such a powerful metaphoric message Life handed down to me – and forgot to ask him WHAT EXACTLY she said.

I managed to retrieve my composure, and asked what the girl´s name was.

 - Emira, proudly answered the mother.
- Does “Emira” mean anything, I ventured.
- Yes… – Princess.

Confessedly, Life is a princess talking to us in a wondrous language,
as if each moment was the first.

I felt that very day that I, too, began to “talk” for the first time along with Emira – all my words before were me, yet still not me…

So today is both my first and second day…

I am learning to talk.

I am learning to write…

Again and again.

It can be a smile, a compliment, a word, a mere amiable glance…it can make
a huge difference…

For a change, look closely around you and realize that we are all intertwined.

You are the other, you become enriched by knowing yourself in the contact with
your fellow-man.

I will illustrate my point:

I had an inner major break-through yesterday. Such an incredible sense of wellness and
relief within me: The “old me” was no longer there. I was feeling composed, empowered, free…as if floating, but entirely rooted in the present moment.

As I was sitting at a terrace sipping a coffee and writing, a guy stopped a couple of meters right in front of me. At first it was confusing… – I had never seen him before. A perfect stranger, properly dressed, with a very unusual charisma. He was gently smiling at me, vividly gesticulating, his eyes glowing with gratitude. He was obviously deaf. He was “talking” to me, although at first I was quite bewildered – he used sign language.

The “encounter” didn´t last more than few seconds. But as he quickly moved his hands, he was intimating:

“Thank you for your presence – you look so elegant, you spread wellness around you.
Whatever you write in your book reaches out to me. Thank you!” 

He happily smiled again, bowed and vanished, as if this never happened.

Given that here in Stockholm where I live, no one ever says anything, I was simply overwhelmed… What an approval I had received.

Few magic seconds of shared joy!

If we had a new Story, would it help?…

Is it possible for humans to break away from the shackles of conditioning, erroneous or otherwise? That is, shouldn’t we investigate this first, is it possible? – before asking other questions or making suggestions.

My answer:

Right to the point:

So it is:

Only our readiness for thorough investigation can make a real difference, from which
A New Story can arise. Otherwise, we would come up with another scenario, which is nothing but The Old Story in a new disguise.

But the great problem with us humans is that WE VEHEMENTLY REFUSE TO DIRECTLY AND IMPARTIALLY LOOK AT OURSELVES – that is, plunge within and investigate this erroneous, timeless legacy…which is, – let´s face it – a hell of an undertaking.
