I begged her

Most men are incredibly dumb. They like their women to be single-minded, in order not to feel disturbed and menaced in their idiotic self-pride. So many women, despite being sensitive and intelligent, have to play stupid in order to find a man.

“I hate stupidity” I told her.

“I don´t think stupid women are sexy”. So please, stop acting stupid, stop thwarting yourself, thinking that by playing daft and insensitive you will be liked and accepted.

About julienmatei
I feel an inner urge to express what I see, to communicate and share with others all these impressions. Often the things I see are there, not yet manifest, but waiting... to be observed, talked about, and embraced. These new insights need another approach, a more vivid curiosity... Due to fear and prejudice we prefer to see only "the official" truth - but THE OFFICIAL TRUTH IS DEAD - being dead, it has nothing to give... We can continue pretending Death is fascinating or... we can take the trouble to LIVE... THE NEW has no definition yet... Again, IT requires another "perception", the courage to apprehend everything differently, from a totally new angle, with new confidence and inquisitive touch. This blog is not about interesting concepts, it is about participation... finding new solutions, inspiration, togetherness.

Repression of women requires them to “act stupid,” in relationship to men. Giving over one’s personal power to be loved, to feel real, is perpertrated by a patriarchal society. J

“Women who are incarcerated in the prison of prescriptions for femininity will sometimes have dreams of mannequins. The stiff doll-like figure with a distorted woman’s body becomes an image for the false self a woman has constructed. Sylvia Plath writes of athe doll that a conventional marriage can make out of a woman.”

    …in twenty-five years she’ll be silver.
    in fifty, gold.
A living doll, everywhere you look.
It can sew, it can cook,
    It can talk, talk, talk.

“This talk is not speech. It more clearly resembles the mechanical repetition of the gender prescriptions learned by rote.”

    “Was I summoned?
    Or did I rise
    from my own emergency?”
    Kim Chernin
