Comparison is an offense against life

We have been taught to be in a constant and frustrating state of comparison with others. It is such a pity as many lose their specific talent, comparing themselves.

A friend of mine told me he was reading my blog. He said: ” I wanted to comment one of your posts but didn´t.”

“Why didn´t you, what stopped you?” I asked.

“Well”, he continued, “the same thoughts were already expressed, so I said what is the point of my comment…?”

I told him that his comment could have made a difference, because IT WAS COMING FROM HIM! So I told him and tell you who read this:

 NEVER EVER COMPARE YOURSELF!!

Have you ever seen a lily dreaming to be a tulip? Have you ever seen a rooster comparing himself with a peacock? Hardly ever. My parables seem rather simple, but think it over:

Comparison kills your inner life, comparison demeans you, it deprives you of your specific talent. Nobody on this planet is an authority – things that are considered to be true today are outdated tomorrow!

Question everything and EXPERIMENT!! Look at things from your own angle! We all do that. No one owns the truth  We all try to find out what is suitable, proceeding from where we are.

So, stand up for yourself and guard yourself against “general opinions”. Find your own voice!
