Stop fleeing your emotions

This is an excerpt from an earlier post of mine:

“WHY ARE WE AFRAID TO FEEL? WHY DOES REAL PASSION SCARE US ? WHY ARE WE AFRAID AND ASHAMED TO LIVE AND SHOW OUR REAL EMOTIONS?

Why are we systematically avoiding these questions?”

Even if it feels awkward, could we discuss this together?

Oftentimes I feel awkwardly confused as to the significance of certain VITAL AND IMPENDING QUESTIONS – like the ones above – that no one seems to see or care about.

As no one is interested to seriously approach these matters, I feel often awfully bewildered, doubting if I am onto something, or if I am another peer of those indulging in senseless illusion. It is hellishly lonely to see A Truth, that apparently is deliberately well-hidden and everybody refuses to admit.

Even more “spiritually educated people” claiming to be “truth seekers” fall victims of their grandiloquent philosophical crap, failing to ascribe importance to certain burning realities, so I seem to be the only one seeing and raising obvious inconvenient questions that, I repeat, nobody cares to consider or admit.

It is so: people refuse to see reality in the eye, and the one who dares say the plain truth, is considered a fool or an loony excentric.

But as it happens, Fate has its ways, and out of the blue, sometimes I bump into something which
CONFIRMS THAT I WAS “RIGHT” VERSUS THE WHOLE PRESENT MENDACIOUS AGE, INDULGING IN CONVENIENT LIES.

Although I am not a fan of Jim Morrison´s music, his following quote gives me comfort, justly illustrating that I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE TO HAVE SEEN THINGS AS THEY ARE:

“People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. PEOPLE TALK ABOUT HOW GREAT LOVE IS, BUT THAT´S BULLSHIT.

Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.”

So, wherever you are, THANK YOU Jim Morrison for having said these words, making my loneliness less unbearable!

About julienmatei
I feel an inner urge to express what I see, to communicate and share with others all these impressions. Often the things I see are there, not yet manifest, but waiting... to be observed, talked about, and embraced. These new insights need another approach, a more vivid curiosity... Due to fear and prejudice we prefer to see only "the official" truth - but THE OFFICIAL TRUTH IS DEAD - being dead, it has nothing to give... We can continue pretending Death is fascinating or... we can take the trouble to LIVE... THE NEW has no definition yet... Again, IT requires another "perception", the courage to apprehend everything differently, from a totally new angle, with new confidence and inquisitive touch. This blog is not about interesting concepts, it is about participation... finding new solutions, inspiration, togetherness.

One Response to Stop fleeing your emotions

  1. Emotions are what make us human. They give the ability to love each other deeply, truly and unconditionally. They are a bond that links us together in the sea of love reaching into the depths of forgiveness where we are able to empathize and not judge each other. Emotions make caring real and concern genuine. My thoughts.
