The Most Important Question

Sometimes you come to the point where beyond the argument of deluded
self-importance, extravagance or bloated subjectivity, you simply know that the
current viewpoint promulgated by science or “spiritual” authority
 is “wrong”,
and you are “right”.

After all, there is no map to anything…

If you want to find out Who You Are and what Your True Destiny is about, you have to question Tradition and Societal Norm which are there to hinder, restrict and discourage you from finding yourself and what is right for you – your individual path.

Most people are never really “born” as they blindly follow the mainstream – “mainstream” meaning failure and perdition for individuality.

If you don´t wisely challenge and rebel against the present order, finding your most specific individualityyou are lost – you will miss the whole point with Life.

Can you thus assume the responsibility of knowing this, of trusting your inner voice and not the rational and dogmatic bunkum of conformity, even if that means derision, tribulation, humiliation and loneliness?

The price is huge, but BEING WHO YOU REALLY ARE IS HOMECOMING – the real answer to it all.

About julienmatei
I feel an inner urge to express what I see, to communicate and share with others all these impressions. Often the things I see are there, not yet manifest, but waiting... to be observed, talked about, and embraced. These new insights need another approach, a more vivid curiosity... Due to fear and prejudice we prefer to see only "the official" truth - but THE OFFICIAL TRUTH IS DEAD - being dead, it has nothing to give... We can continue pretending Death is fascinating or... we can take the trouble to LIVE... THE NEW has no definition yet... Again, IT requires another "perception", the courage to apprehend everything differently, from a totally new angle, with new confidence and inquisitive touch. This blog is not about interesting concepts, it is about participation... finding new solutions, inspiration, togetherness.

        Hey Julien and Sue,

I am indeed humbled by your generosity re: your comments et al, just so you know I removed comments from my blog because energetically that was the right thing for me to do.

That being said; it also feels energetically right to acknowledge the wisdom, power and authenticity of others all part of my day to day living. So that’s what I do wherever and whenever I encounter and not surprisingly that’s virtually a full time occupation.

Therein; very big thank you for all that you are and also for accepting and embracing that its all about remembering just who you truly are and more importantly; not what others have tried or will try to shoe horn you into being and/or believing.

Extending my sincere regards, for your grace and generosity, Barry

      • Many thanks Barry and may your journey continue to enlighten others upon the road of discovery to finding themselves 🙂 ~Sue

  2. Most people never look within themselves to find anything.. They constantly wait to be told…following the main-stream has become the norm.. Not to question, but just follow the herd… To stand alone and think! means you are different. and those who are different from the norm- are given labels–
We live in a labelled society where not to conform means we object or are activists or some other type of trouble maker we are given labels in our cultures our religions and woe betide if we cannot buy those labelled garments and goods so we can give ourselves another label of being trendy and the rest..

We have become so adjusted to plugging into the media and believing everything we are told. and we are so controlled as to what to buy what to wear what to eat as advertising takes the mind over from having to Think!..
To think beyond this illusion of reality is beyond the minds of many..

At times I am amazed at how many awakened souls are out there.. But they are Waking UP! and that’s one thing as I visit various blogs and listen to youth groups etc.. People are at last asking the right questions and persisting on getting some answers and when they really start and LOOK! and SEE reality as not how the History books taught them .. Then they look within themselves and start that deeper journey of discovery.. ALL GOOD!..
And once they do find themselves… Well… We are on our road home!…

Great Post Julien…. Great post! 🙂

      Sue,

Thank you too for your great comment.

Not bothering about labels, not adjusting to the current norms, all in all, no longer responding to this idiotically demeaning standards and expectations requires great courage. Great courage as you are turned into an “outsider” at best, or a pariah at worst.
At least for a while, you really are on your own, as leaving the herd, you are repudiated, losing your “reputation”, you will be labeled as a misfit, a failure, or – as you say – a trouble maker.
Society loathes individualists, and till you get to know people with similar viewpoints to understand and back you, it may take years of indignity, pain and tribulation, Alas, ask me about that… Years and years of infamous loneliness and misunderstanding…but I guess
that´s the price you pay, for being unflinchingly truthful to yourself.

So, I really say Amen to this:

“People are at last asking the right questions and persisting on getting some answers and when they really start and LOOK and SEE reality, as not how the History books taught them. .. Then they look within themselves and start that deeper journey of discovery.”

      • Yes Julien often we are subject to loneliness and being thought of as odd. and we each of us go through our dark nights. But often I find it is only facing those shadows we emerge stronger as we awaken to the ‘Real’ world in which we live.

Unfortunately Julien I see too much and understand that this world will go through its own ‘Dark-night’ before we emerge stronger and more aware of what Life and Living on Earth is all about.. And for that to happen, much of what society thinks as ‘Real’ will have to disappear!…..

Many thanks for taking the time to reply in such depth..
        Namaste
        Sue

  4. Thomas Ross says:

    Julien,

We share many important feelings about the nature of life and being. The passage, “After all, there is no map to anything,” captures so much.

I do wonder though about the call “to rebel against the present order.” I am drawn to the idea but wonder whether we “rebel” most meaningfully when we return to ourselves and deny the “present order” the capacity to trigger our reaction. I’m not thinking of retreating to a hut on the mountain, although I sometimes do yearn for isolation. I’m thinking of a strong and centered person whose actions flow from the core of his being- never reacting, always just acting.

This all seems consistent with your ideas as I have come to understand them. But maybe not.

What I do know is that on this Sunday afternoon in the US, your words have once again triggered my deepest thoughts.

    • julienmatei says:

Yes, the pathless path…the pathless land. The no-map-to-anything…

The Neverland of our true origin, which is just a breath away. Yes, a single breath, or lifetimes away…

Society – this present order we all know – is perpetually living and reinforcing “away”…

“Away” is the ubiquitous virtue, the only cherished and honored goal…

Away is at the basis of Ideal, that is, Idea turned into Ideal…

I have rebelled all my life against something insidiously wrong which I couldn´t formulate. First now I realize that what I have rebelled against, was the very Ideas which moulded our age.

I am redundant but I take it again: the foundation of our Ideas, derive from “away”,
The only thing we commit to is “away from” and “away to”.

      Away means Absence…- non existence.

How could I ever accept to be turned into a non-existing entity? How could I not rebel against being consigned to live “away”?

So yes…struggling madly against absence, I became myself absent, I became re-active – as there was no one around me to show what I unbeknownst was looking for – Presence…

The mysterious unspeakable Presence, The True Land.

So it has taken me decades to have glimpses of what “here and now” entails. To feel the secret of true aliveness.

There are strong and centered persons who act but are still absent, and there are those very few whose inner center is constellated in true Presence…

So following the “mainstream” overpowers Absence, whereas finding your true Self, means embracing presence.

PRESENCE: THE INEFFABLE HERE AND NOW.
