Asking Rox – is there a free will, after all?

How much Fate is there in Life, and how much Free Will?
You must have posed yourself this question. I for one, inevitably do…

Fact is that more often than not, I feel there is no free will; not in the sense that we are deprived of freedom, but rather that Fate seems to govern our Lives.

It´s really my case: Whatever I try to make happen, fails. And when I least expect anything, something happens. Truly puzzling…

It feels as if Providence has always the last word.

About julienmatei
I feel an inner urge to express what I see, to communicate and share with others all these impressions. Often the things I see are there, not yet manifest, but waiting... to be observed, talked about, and embraced. These new insights need another approach, a more vivid curiosity... Due to fear and prejudice we prefer to see only "the official" truth - but THE OFFICIAL TRUTH IS DEAD - being dead, it has nothing to give... We can continue pretending Death is fascinating or... we can take the trouble to LIVE... THE NEW has no definition yet... Again, IT requires another "perception", the courage to apprehend everything differently, from a totally new angle, with new confidence and inquisitive touch. This blog is not about interesting concepts, it is about participation... finding new solutions, inspiration, togetherness.

fate?! let’s say about 90-95%… 🙂 the rest is up to us, life is made of choices and decisions that we must assume… 🙂 nobody will ever do anything in our place… pasivitatea, resemnarea si fatalismu’ vor fi fost mereu negative, ne-constructive… bon courage et bonne chance! 🙂

      Thanks for sharing this.

Existentially speaking, the problem of Destiny versus Free-Will – the so-called “Choice” – is the most pervasive question to be pondered.

What I can say is that – and I really mean it – everything in life is excruciatingly non-linear. When it comes to my experience, nothing follows a logical pattern.

We can´t dissociate individual Fate from the collective one. Everything is utterly complex and intertwined.

The underlying forces at work which make our existence, are impossible to fathom rationally.

I think a successful destiny is the capacity to follow and tune in with these mighty forces. To be in a constant accord with the ongoing pulse within and without.

It is much to be said, and I will come back in due time with further examples which illustrate my point.
