Are you redrawing your map right now?

Mirrors of Encounters

This is written by Jane.

Dedication to the truth requires the tool of discipline. Truth is reality.  Each of us holds a view of reality.  Our minds become confused by misperceptions of what is really happening when we cannot perceive people, places, and events clearly.

We get to choose whether our map is true or false.  Most people do not want to see the world clearly because it requires a lot of self-study.  It is much easier to keep the map we drew of the world when we were children.  Many of us feel that whatever map we were given by family, friends, teachers, religious, economic, and political institutions is the one and only map we will ever need.  This is a “just getting by” map.

Our maps are only accurate if we continually revise them all day long three hundred sixty-five days a year.  People, places, and things change every moment of the day.  All day…

People are dangerous insofar as they never truly live

Nothing to misunderstand here:

Their frustration and unhappiness as the result of the never lived life, will spawn
huge violence and gruesome antagonism resulting eventually in war.

If we discard this obvious truth, we deserve a dire destiny.

The harder you try, the less you get

The more covetous to seize life, the more miserable and violent you become.

Hope – the other side of Fear

I have no fears, I have no hopes, I am free
– Nikos Kazantzakis

You might find this challenging, but I´ll say it anyway.

Hope is the other side of Fear. In fact, hope is the perfect tool which enhances Fear, as it postpones the true encounter with your genuine naked Self.

Hope, not only creates Fear, but also empowers doubt. If you are honest, you will clearly see this.

To live in Hope is to escape What is, repudiating the gift of this moment.

The gift I am talking about may come as overwhelming darkness, as immense hardship, as intense pain and huge loneliness.

I know from own experience that when one is in the midst of the abyss, you can hardly see it as a blessing.

Yet, “What is to give light must endure burning.”
– Viktor Frankl

Whoever has the guts to unflinchingly GO THROUGH AND NOT AROUND, will find the imperishable secret behind True Creation.

They will forgive you for mistreating them but never for the sin of loving them

Some drops of precious wine won´t make the vinegar sweeter…

Our art and music today

Mirrors of Encounters

Nowadays, the most favorite artistic expression is frustration, accompanied by cynicism and aggression. The most preponderant in the palette of expressions is though vanity. In all aesthetic fields, Vanity is taken to its paroxysm, we witness really the Triumph of narcissistic and nihilistic madness.

Besides the afferent nihilism in art – as well as in music – we deal with the primordial feature of modernity, characterized by a blatant reductionist infantilism, on the one hand, and on the other – especially in music – with a monotonous violence, conceited and shameless, relentlessly perverted and ubiquitously offensive.
Our aesthetic is the mirror of our ugly and distorted feelings.

The equation is simple:

Diseased emotions, diseased people.

Because of this insidious pathology, we come to spoil and destroy everything, everything we touch we disfigure and break down, including our lives.
