People will do anything, no matter how absurd, to avoid A REAL ENCOUNTER

About julienmatei
I feel an inner urge to express what I see, to communicate and share with others all these impressions. Often the things I see are there, not yet manifest, but waiting... to be observed, talked about, and embraced. These new insights need another approach, a more vivid curiosity... Due to fear and prejudice we prefer to see only "the official" truth - but THE OFFICIAL TRUTH IS DEAD - being dead, it has nothing to give... We can continue pretending Death is fascinating or... we can take the trouble to LIVE... THE NEW has no definition yet... Again, IT requires another "perception", the courage to apprehend everything differently, from a totally new angle, with new confidence and inquisitive touch. This blog is not about interesting concepts, it is about participation... finding new solutions, inspiration, togetherness.

Julien, your statement is very compact and difficult to answer. What do you mean by ‘people’? Can you be more specific? M.

The initial quote belongs to C. G. Jung:

“People will do anything, no matter how absurd, to avoid their soul.”

Evading their own soul and their specific truth, they flee also any real encounter with someone else…Because a true meeting with someone reminds them of what they harshly avoid and repress…

  2. Michael O.Brien says:

True, but for me, she comes calling in the dead of night when I have nowhere to flee and gives me a right tough time, sometimes shaking me from the earth and taking me to the depths to meet despair and utter humiliation. There’s no escape, no avoidance for one who has vowed to take the journey. Sometimes the light of day is sheer relief – to put it mildly. I don’t study Jung but intuitively know where he is coming from….
