Who is to educate eventually?

More often than not, the child, not being burdened by experience
and having thus its instincts unadulterated, knows more about reality
than the parents do.

After all, who´s supposed to tutor who?…

I entrust you my life, because I refuse to find out who I am

What is the most important thing, after all?

Undoubtedly, it is the energy you have.

Verily, Energy as the outcome of Enthusiasm – that
invaluable thing which most people lack today.

Without energy and joy, life becomes relentless entropy,
sickness, dismay, unbearable boredom.

blueangelwolf:
I think the machinations of civilization are geared towards sucking that Energy out of people…of course people allow such… maybe in the end it is just easier to become a victim rather than think and take responsibility for our god-given reality.

Me:
As I was reading your first sentence “I think the machinations of civilization are geared towards sucking that Energy out of people”, I was simultaneously thinking “it´s them who allow it, often unconsciously” – and so you continue with the same thought “of course people allow such”, meaning that we both clearly see the issue.

The machinations and civilization is us, our work – quite evident.

Why people generally find natural to disempower themselves giving their life away, totally surpasses my comprehension…or not – if I think it over:

LIFE poses different questions to each one of us. To live is utterly difficult. It means that you have to take responsibility for who you are, which is indeed a great effort.

So obviously, most people give their power away, because it is too damn difficult to find out for yourself, and so they invent some outer authority – the so-called State – which compensates the inner lack of contact with their inherent power..

MOST PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO FIND OUT THEIR TRUE DESTINY, as it is excruciatingly difficult to individuate.

It´s something like “I prefer to bargain my life and precious energy away just to escape my not knowing how to live and respond to the immediate challenge of life”

I give you my everything in order to get away from myself.”

What is the most important thing, after all?

Indeed, it is the energy you have.

Verily, Energy as the outcome of Enthusiasm – that invaluable thing which most
people lack today.

Enthusiasm – meaning to breathe God – breeding Energy, which is Aliveness.

Aliveness being Joy. Joy which is clear sight – intelligence.

Joy – intelligence in action. The Key to all Creation.

Without being consciously connected to the unearthly Energy you are no one.

Without energy and joy, life becomes relentless entropy, sickness, dismay, unbearable boredom.

A meaningless dream.

Learning should be allied to goodness

Intellectual capacity is not always found associated with ethics and moral character.

Darragh McCurragh:
However, is learning not also the path to gain an insight into morals? So without a binding curriculum, which would mean the end of intellectual freedom, and thus a rigorous sequence of what to learn when, morals/ethics cannot be drummed into a person. And since everyone learns everything at different speeds, some never learn about nuclear physics, others never about morals.

Me:
Nuclear physics without a healthy counterpart in morals has created the
atomic bomb – it is pretty obvious…

Unfortunately – learning as it is taught today, not only that it doesn´t comprise, but almost excludes a wholesome insight into ethics…

Of course, no true morals – and for that matter, nothing of value – can ever be “drummed” into anyone, but rather instilled…Inspired. Etymologically, education means to awaken the student from inside out…

This may sound utopian, but education should alongside with the process of learning concomitantly deal with ethics and overarching human values.

And the school system should implement this insight soon, if we want to stand a chance to veritable progress.

Intellectual capacity and the lack of morality

Not that learning is to be despised, but that it must be allied to goodness. Intellectual capacity is sometimes found associated with the meanest moral character—with abject servility to those in high places, and arrogance to those of low estate. A man may be accomplished in art, literature, and science, and yet, in honesty, virtue, truthfulness, and the spirit of duty, be entitled to take rank after many a poor and illiterate peasant.

Can we grasp Reality in a direct, immediate, unconditioned way?

Every opinion, no matter how “right”, is a just a fragment of reality. Can a fragment ever understand the whole picture?

Can we see clearly that, without exception, every definition or explanation deprive us of our freedom to explore?

I could give you “explanantions” as to why Life shuns all definitions, but that won´t bring you any real benefit as you will most likely begin to compare with what you already know, and this creates more confusion. I think is far more important fo find out for yourself.

If you read this, you may have come to the point of realizing that all definitions are senseless, and this is a good sign. You seem to heed your inner urge for real answers.

The quest is about emptying the mind, as only a clear mind is able to have a direct experience.

How can we have a clear mind when education, school, society has had us follow and conform only to given patterns? The whole idea of teaching and learning is built on conditioning, can you see that?

Real answers will come to you only if you start to question your conditioning, if you have the guts…

There is no out there, out there

“The visual world, what we see, is an illusion, but then a very sophisticated one. There are no colours, no tones, no constancy in the “real” world, it is all something we make up. We do so for good reasons and with great survival value. Because colors, tones and constancy are expressions of how we correlate with the world.”

“What we percieve as being outside of us is indeed a fancy and elegant projection of what we have inside. We do make this projection as as result of interacting with something not inside, but everything we experience is inside.”

“What really changes is they way we see things, the way we experience everything. For anything to change out there you have to change everything in here. That is the epistemological situation. All spiritual traditions have been talking about it. But now it grows from the epistemology of quantum physics to neurobiology.”

“There is no out there out there. It is in here. There is no in here in here. It is out there. The outside is in here. Who is there?

That laughter will change everything.”

Education today…?

“The aim of public education is not to spread enlightenment at all; it is simply to reduce as many individuals as possible to the same safe level, to breed a standard citizenry, to put down dissent and originality.”

H.L. Mencken

Let us ponder on this together

Says Heidi:

Children are immediate, brutally honest, totally in the moment.
Words and actions are not filtered.

Where do we go wrong from childhood to adulthood?

About memory, practice and repetition

buddhasal says:

Is something that we do so well not an act from memory developed through repetition? One doesn’t use memory conspicuously at times but it is implied that if you do something well then you learned it from practice and isn’t practice something stored in memory for use later?

Me:
Good question:
“Is something that we do so well not an act from memory developed through repetition?”
Memory, repetition and practice…Let us try to give it a thought and find out together what´s what.

That´s for sure, without me being able to write and speak English properly, I couldn´t write here. For the record, I am not sure always as to my appropriate usage of the language. However, quite evidently, it has taken me years of reading and pondering to be able to expose an idea reasonably well.

The same applies to piano playing or painting, or whatever other skill. In order to fulfill your ability, it takes years of practise, of commitment and perseverance…you know, what is usually considered “hard work” is undoubtedly a fact, if you want to reach excellence.

What you say is right: “it is implied that if you do something well then you learned it from practice and isn’t practice something stored in memory for use later?”

Let me tell you that I am – what they call – a very versed pianist. I have been playing the piano since I was five, attempting to improve this skill my whole life. Once, after a very demanding concert, a five-year-old kid went to the piano and JUST PLAYED TWO NOTES.Those tones were so pure so I was taken aback. I realized with greatest awe, that THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ME “THE GOOD PIANIST” AND THE BOY WHO NEVER TOUCHED A PIANO BEFORE BUT PLAYS ONE NOTE…

You know, this very episode turned my so-called world upside down…It was probably one of the moments which triggered my awakening. I spent all my life improving my skill and there comes a boy, and with two tones, he overthrows all my then current beliefs…

So the question is: who is better off…? The beginner or the connoisseur?
The one who “knows”, or the one who is inexperienced and “doesn´t know”?

Isn´t memory many times just a tool to perpetrate my identity which is nothing but my self-importance?
Isn´t my identity and self-importance the walls I raise so that we cannot reach each other…?

What is the target for my practising…? Why do I repeat day in day out the same thing…? The answer is quite evident: I TRY TO BE SOMEONE. No matter what, I always struggle to assert myself.

If my only gain is self-assertion, it means that you automatically become my enemy – can you see that? Your plans can never coincide with mine as long as I fight for “my thing” and you for yours.

If we look closely, does anything repeat itself?…What is repetition at the end of the day?

Obviously, Repetition is inherent in ego´s nature, and through memory, practise and repetition the Ego magnifies its “everlasting” importance blowing up its illusion of being separate.

If we have eyes to see, we can understand that:
Nothing ever repeats itself, if there is no separate entity to watch and witness…

When I let go of memory, practise, repetition, when I drop the idea of “later” too, then I am ever new. Second by second. Being “new” every moment, I am free, I have nothing to defend. Only fear – that is identity – can be defended.

So the very idea of identity generates the illusion of memory, repetition and practise.

When this is understood, you will realize that in this new gained freedom, you are being “remembered”. With other words, you let go of Memory and trust the ineffable Now. In this joyful trust, you have an immediate relation to life, you have energy, that is, you can create something without repetition. You no longer define yourself through “WHAT WAS” but through WHAT IS.
What is, is Life happening now. When you live in present tense, there is no gap
anymore between Everything There Is and You.

Being in direct contact with What is, is unforeseen immense potential!

ONLY WHAT IS, IS TRUE. Everything else is senseless literature.
