Past and Future

I reblog ´s great post here:

“The past is finite but the future is infinite. The past is useful up to a point. Yet seeking our identity in the past, the past becomes a heavy drag upon consciousness and killer of freedom. The past corresponds to a limitation, to set forms that have come and gone. Yet people define themselves mainly by the past, so binding themselves to the fixed boundaries and the circumscribed habits of personality and group.

The inner self is prophetic, so it is possible to find identity in the light of the future. There is nothing of value in the past that will not be better-born in the future. The value of what was, the soul of it, is always in motion and not long tethered to any time and form. So, when the time is right, let the flowers and melodies of yesterday fade, all their beauty was borrowed from the timeless–the source of their wonder is now and ahead upon the path of ascent.”

To all of you reading this

I want to speak out this truth in a clear statement:

I am not trying to be someone, as I am already “someone” now, this very
moment…-inasmuch as I feel alive, connected with mySelf and with You all.

I don´t search to be “validated” by you – it´s far from my intention.

I am trying to create a forum where we can approve of and so to say, validate each other.

I don´t have the technical skills, but fact of the matter is that I wouldn´t mind turning Mirrors of Encounters into a “public” place, where everyone makes his true voice heard.

I think it is ripe time that we all come out of our hiding-place, stand up in mutual trust and start connecting with each other, creating a far more comprehensive context of true force, energy, beauty and wisdom. Something that benefits both the individual and the group in a more extensive manner.

The Evil exists and thrives in fragmentation!

Continuing living in the illusion of fragmentation – everyone to himself – brings us to total and irrevocable destruction. The sum of different fragmentations – and with fragmentation I mean frustration, unhappiness, hate, prejudice, pettiness, material
shortage – creates a prison for all of us. Creates hell on earth – like all the evil systems of Nazism, Communism and this present blind and reckless Capitalism.

Likewise, our present politicians are manifesting our existential disease, that is, our blindness as to the truth of Who We Really Are.

We have to create a new and strong sense of community, based on inter-connectedness, transparency, healthy order, sustainability and mutual endorsement and support. This sounds of course utopian, but actually either we embrace the “Utopia” of waking up to this Universal Truth, or we are doomed.

The Whole makes and consists of its parts, and the parts make the whole. When the part is wounded, the whole is intrinsically affected!!

We are thus compelled to seek to heal both the individual and the community, in
a simultaneous act!

WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME BOAT, and failing to recognize this is either arrogance or stubborn shortsightedness.

Our prevalent consensus as to who we are is invalid

“A non logical logic, an irrationally rational approach.”

It is painstakingly difficult to catch and articulate a fleeing insight. It first appears as a soothingly vague and indistinct presence which you can instantly perceive, but cannot assess whether it´s something truly meaningful or just another inflated delusion.

That applies especially when one is confronting things in a way which runs counter with the prevalent consensus.

I often run the risk of writing “philosophically”, but that is far from my initial intent. Really, I am not interested in “philosophy” as such. To be caught in abstract and reiterating thought patterns feels like being irremediably dead. Stuck in hopeless non living. Consequently, I am only interested to bring about bearing solutions to things that are insidiously unapproachable from a rational or “scientifically” viewpoint.
This “new” Presence requires a non logical, that is, an irrationally rational approach.

I am eventually only interested to live and be alive.

It is a glaring fact that this present age becomes rampantly lifeless, a more and
more unlivable place.

Yes, they are dead, but think they are alive…They are dreaming but don´t want
to be awakened from their evil dream…

This world has become the denial of the denial of another denial. An inverted,
incurable disease. How could you ever treat them, if they don´t even want to know
and face that fact that they are hopelessly sick?…

Unquestionably, if you want to really live and be alive, you have to not less than become enlightened. Enlightenment is the only valid option, if you want to raise
from the dismal valley of the dead.

And to awaken is to denounce and renounce duality, polarity, separation, time,
and thought.

You have to deliberately descend into the abyss of Insanity, which is the offspring of reason and logic. To heal from Thought and Knowledge – from the misconception of plurality

To step into the singularity of Oneness, where wholeness resides.

One…in all

When – and, above all IF… – you realize that plurality exists only in your mind, everything “becomes” equally important.

Obviously, something can be more “important” as long as there is an “other”.

Once” the other”- plurality – becomes “such”- singularity -, the dream ceases.

In singularity everything is but One Value – that is, the cessation of all imagined

Singularity is Wholeness, the ever-present Oneness.

Commenting Emma´s post

The future starts today not tomorrow says Pope John Paul II. For sure, it sounds fair…

I wonder though – how can something that doesn´t exist start either tomorrow or today?…
Who finishes and who starts…? Really…Give it a (non) thought. 🙂

Does happiness have a future? Will you breath sometime next week? Or maybe, your heart starts beating on Thursday…or Friday maybe…?

“Future” is a mere concept. How can a concept ever fulfill us? Can you imagine how most humans on this planet have swallowed and keep this absurdity as true…? It is really outrageous.

WE ARE ALREADY WHAT WE THINK WE NEED, but we don´t trust that.
Only this entity called Fear is insatiable and needs “time” in order to ensure its existence – that is, its nothingness…Once we understand the very nature of this parasite – fear – we´ll see that “Future” is naught but a facet of Now.

Love needs no future – it loves now

There is absolutely no value in the thing called “Future”.

The very thing called “Later” is only the dream of an imbecile, as it doesn´t exist for real. All these “tomorrows”, indeed, the very thing called Time is merely a fearful thought, a shameless speculation.
Really, time is a mere projection, nothing more than a figment of our imagination. IT IS DISTANCE FROM WHAT IS. Time is the outcome of mind, and. Mind – despite its complexity – is nothing but imagination ultimatelyCircles in circles, illusion wrapped in another illusion.

Let me take this again: time is mind, and Mind is basically distance and moving away from What Is, namely This Present Moment. Crassly speaking, Mind fears Life. Mind is the derivative of existential fear.

The only real thing existing is This Moment, now. But Now has no address, no reference. There is no such thing as reference anywhere really, other than in our thinking. Eventually, life itself is a cosmic movement with no reference, or predictable appearance…We viciously try to grasp this huge cosmic movement called Life, with our pathetic tool – Mind… which in the end is nothing but this: conceited and futile wishful thinking.

We have become so utterly insane so we take Mind for Life as if it was the only Supreme Reality.

Consequently, This present moment – Life – is the greatest fear of them all, the most unsolved challenge, the dilemma, the thing invariably considered a menace, something to fight against, something man has to painstakingly and compulsively get rid of.
“What I don´t understand is a menace to me, so I escape whatever threatens me.”

In his constant escaping, man systematically kills life – Life being the projection of his fear. Killing life, he is actually attempting to kill his mind, his fear…Very complicated mechanism: something like,”I am my projection, my projection is everything, but at the same time I yearn to kill my projection” – this seems to be man´s weird and twisted predicament.

Love, like life, simply knows no tomorrow, no “after”, no postponing. Love always lives in the present tense. Love is inherently also Value. Value is the outcome of Love. Value virtually dwells in Love. Whatever we do out of love, flourishes, grows naturally, prospers. Whatever we do out of fear, withers and fails pitifully.

Here is the thing:

We don´t know what Love is cause we are afraid of This Moment, we are afraid of life. Our living is short of Value, because we don´t really live and love. We think, we study, we judge, we measure, we search, we this and that, but al this, IS PURE VANITY ultimately. Madness. Fear of worst kind. It´s atomic bomb…

If you understand this, your whole existence is about to change:

Every time you think, you distance yourself from What Is, from this moment, from Love, from value. Understand that thinking means postponing, thinking means “fearing”, thought is a lapse between you and real Life. If you get this, you begin to see and understand your fear.
When you start being aware of your fear, you begin to understand Now.

You cannot know what love is, unless you understand fear in relation to Mind.

Just remember:

The future is now

Can you see that?

Future is mere projection. Every time you worry about the future, you worry about Now.
If you worry now, how do you think that your future will be…other than worry?

The question is:

Why are you afraid of Now?…

Meaning, The Mirror of Now

What is this thing called Future?… It is hope, fear, expectation, doubt, uncertainty, frustration… In short, future is ideal and fear of ideal. Will it happen, will it not…?”, “what happens next?”, “what´s the next step, how shall I proceed with this or that?”

I won´t induce in philosophical speculation, I just wonder: What if future didn´t exist? What would happen if we took a healthy choice and eliminate “future” at least for a while…?

The consequence of this would be unimaginable: If there is no future there would be no ideal either. No ideal – no fear.

Yes, future means basically projection, doens´t it?…No future – no fear – no projection. What is projection? Projection means that we give ourselves away. We give our force away, our hopes, vitality, strength and fears to something uncertain basically.  What if we took home all projections, projecting them on this very moment…? For sure, we would retrieve ourselves in this very second…- we would start being real, being exactly how we are.

WE HAVE INVENTED THE FUTURE BECAUSE WE FEAR THIS MOMENT! Our fear to find out what or who we are, has become “future”. There is no future! Future is fear!

When we let go of the fear, future and projection, we begin to perceive Now in unfathomable ways – this present moment will start reveal a beauty, mystery and richness beyond measure. Every single thing will mean something. You will start having a right relation both to yourself and with things around you. You start perceiving YOUR INTRINSIC MEANING. Your immediate perception of your specific meaning is your greatest asset, your richness. You will find peace. Clarity. You will do less but achieve more.

Have you ever wondered why people are so greedy and poor inside always going around complaining?…Because their life usually is devoid of sense. They irretrievably look for meaning and fulfillment in the future… But Meaning never resides in the future…Only fear does…

We never live in the future, we live now, don´t we…? Only Now knows the secret of Our Meaning. Meaning means Fulfillment.

An interesting dialogue about time

Richard says:

“I am speaking about psychological time here” was a central issue of yours. I think this derives from Krishnamurti’s point of view who said literally “It is the interval between idea and action. An idea is for self-protection obviously; it is the idea of being secure. Action is always immediate; it is not of the past or of the future; to act must always be in the present, but action is so dangerous, so uncertain, that we conform to an idea which we hope will give us a certain safety.”

Well, to live a real life means to live in the now. You can neither live in the past nor in the future – only our thoughts remain in these tenses much too often. Our depressions stem from the past and our anxieties emerge from future thoughts.

My answer:

For sure, an idea is a means to self-protection – self-protection meaning resistance against “the unpleasant” – that is against the Unknown …So action being so dangerous, so uncertain, we conform to an idea which we hope will give us a certain safety. This very idea we conform to, creates the interval, and this interval – that is fearing the unknown –  is time; that´s exactly what I say.

In fact, every form of inner escape, creates time. It is a terrible thing for many to live now. As “Now” means confrontation both with real pain, BUT AS MUCH WITH ABSTRACT PAIN!!! And according to what I see, abstract pain is much more unbearable to people than actual whatever affliction. It is not the object per se which scare us, but our thoughts about it.

To confront fearful thoughts is an unbearable undertaking for most humans, don´t you think?

This is perfectly formulated Richard:

“To live a real life means to live in the now. You can neither live in the past nor in the future – only our thoughts remain in these tenses much too often. Our depressions stem from the past and our anxieties emerge from future thoughts.”

So sad, instead of Now, people live in tenses…

I could also add that depression is constant reiteration of the past into the future. This mechanical reiteration, which is Fear, kills Now. When we give up Time, we give up our resistance, and in that readiness we can confront the real problem – fear.

The mirror of this moment

Good things are worth waiting for, they say. The risk is, you can wait forever…

For most people, future is postponing and escaping now. So sad, they are frustrated now, and so will they be in the future, as Future is nothing but the mirror of this moment. If you ponder this, there is nothing you can reach “later”- you have to start now, feeling the way you want to feel.

Learn to stay with the moment the way it is, the moment is in fact everything you have. Never sacrifice this moment for a “better promise” in the future. Promises remain most often, nothing more than empty promises.

Know that the really good things happen always spontaneously, synchronistically, NOW…

I take it again:
