The beginning of wisdom

“The only thing I know is that I nothing know”, says Socrates.

Let´s replace “know” with “perceive” and see what we get:

The only thing I perceive is that I perceive nothing right.

That´s the greatest insight. The advent of Truth.

To love is to die

One must totally die to find what love is. And to go into this question of what is death, what lies beyond death, whether there is reincarnation, whether there is resurrection, you follow, all that, becomes rather meaningless if you don’ t know how to live. If the human being knows how to live in this world without conflict then death has quite a different meaning.
– J Krishnamurti

For sure:

Without death, no life. Without death, no love. Although we consider It the ultimate Evil, Death may be highest good. The secret door to renewal. I won’t say let’s die now – it may be too harsh on our Ego – I will simply say, let’s renew ourselves…

Neither Heraclitus, Plato or Socrates or whoever great man, can help and guide us through this tremendous undertaking: psychological Death. Each of us is on his own to find out.

Indeed…

Death: the cessation of direction, of memory, of thought, of ideal…

“Are you aware of the significance of your words here?” – he asked.

To die is an act of totality. Even “significance” has to go, if we are to take on this huge challenge.

Man´s worst fear, is the loss of his identity, which equates the loss of his ubiquitous “significance”…Significance – meaning belief, meaning psychological security…Nobody wants to risk and jeopardize the Supreme Sense we have built through Millennia…- the very Idea of who or what we think we are…

We do not therefore fear Death, but – of course – the cessation of our ideas and projections, about what we term as Life and Death…

As long as we take “Love” as an outcome of our all too human projection, we will neither live nor love.

Speak out, so I know who you are…

…said Socrates.

Your every word counts in the economy of The Universe.

I encourage you therefore, to take the trouble of making your voice heard.

I know that I know

This common saying “If there´s a will there´s a way” is not so common after all.

When you know what you want, when you have discovered what it is you are really aimed for, nothing or no one can stop you. Being totally dedicated and convinced of your call, there are no longer any doubts. Your purpose being clearly identified and stated, you simply act in the “right” direction. All frictions and resistances are left behind and you have free access to unimaginable energy.

Now, if you look with awaken eyes, you realize that many people never find out who they are, and what their specific way or task is in life.

They try this or that. It shows that is neither nor. They try again. Failing constantly. That would be rather appropriate to say: I fail therefore I exist. No matter if it´s about a job or a relation, whatever they “commit” themselves to, turns out to be another flop.

On a higher level nobody is unloved. On a human personal level, things are much more complicated. It seems that many people´s life is doomed to be a failure.

Descartes with his fearsome stupid “I think therefore I am”, has created more damage than he ever imagined… Many live through life being the victims of their own thinking, hence, giving their life to doubts. Of course, many times it is sensible to doubt, BUT LIVING IN CONSTANT DOUBT MEANS INVARIABLY FAILURE.

Doubting is modern man´s curse.

Doubt means continuous resistance, gruesome and incessant friction and conflict. Doubt is searching without finding. “Not knowing” anything for sure is also induced by doubt. Doubt leads mostly to frustration, draining you of all your energy. How is it possible to stay focused and happy if you have no energy, constantly living in conflict and frustration? Why do you think that everybody complains about being always tired and stressed?

Here´s the answer :

They have no clue to whom they are, they are the wrong persons in the wrong working places, they mostly have wrong partners because they fake everything, nothing really works in many people´s personal life, despite all appearance FAILING IS THEIR SHARE, all in all, it´s a flagrant fact: all these unquiet mourners are utterly unhappy and miserable.

They are miserable BECAUSE THEY DOUBT EVERYTHING!

Ultimately, doubt is wasting your precious life.

The obsession of doubt is virtue in this world. “Not knowing anything for sure” has become our everyday plague. Everything has to be relative and because it is relative, we don´t need to take a stand for anything. With other words, we don´t need to take responsibility for anything. What more idiotic and comfortable strategy than hiding behind ” I don´t know”…?

Now the question is: DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?…

Can you for a change take a different step, urgently consider and question yourself honestly, accepting that yes! It is possible to know – I CAN KNOW SOMETHING FOR SURE. I am prepared to respect and stand for my being and for my own truth!

Can I trust my knowing even if I am “wrong”? At the end of the day, does “wrong” exist? Wrong exists as long as you don´t take a stand and remain a coward.

Do I want to find out? Can I take the trouble to examine myself and find my own unshakable answers, or do I want to be taken care of this ageless relativistic bullshit propaganda because I am afraid?

Do you want to be a happy person with integrity? Than  ALLOW YOURSELF TO KNOW SOMETHING FOR SURE! That is, LIVE YOUR OWN TRUTH IF IT FEELS RIGHT!

This socratic statement that “I know that I don´t know” is outlived. What about I KNOW THAT I KNOW?

How would that sound…?

Dare to speak up

“Speak up so that I know who you are”, said Socrates.

I would say:

Let´s dialogue so we can find out who we are! Really, mirroring one another through genuine and transparent dialogue opens unthought of opportunities. Two, three words can make huge difference. We all need to follow and be followed with the right kind of attention.

I will continue writing with or without comments. It is not necessarily me you´re giving something if you comment “my” posts. It is indeed a great chance for you to take a few moments and reciprocate the unknown part of yourself talking to me.

Vivid attention and loving dialogue is a blessing. We all need this, the world today thirst for this.

Dare. The words you say, you say to yourself.

Words and silence

“Speak so I hear who you are!”

These words are said to belong to Socrates.

I believe it is equally important to say:”Be quiet so I can hear you…!”

Really, words are a wonder. But those times when the Wonder of Life whispers, the most natural thing is to remain silent. And yet…How can you both remain silent and speak at the same time? Quite a paradox, isn´t it?

However, it is only apparently irreconcilable – our words reach out, are vital, swift and powerful only when they are born out of this unutterable Silence.

I can talk, I can write, as I do in this moment…but inside I remain silent.

True words are bridges between silence and silence. Mine and yours…

Let´s be silent for a moment, and speak low…
